Memories of storm from Building Superintendent Joseph Dulski
The personnel department let the office personnel leave around noon. By 2 p.m. the streets and main roadways were closed. About 30 people were stranded at the office, and of the 30 there were three ladies who were pregnant. We made them as comfortable as possible in the boardroom. We took down the drapes and used them as comforters. We all watched "Roots" on television that evening and Russ Ward, director of Human Development, made arrangements for us to have breakfast at the Buffalo Club about a block away. Some main roads opened up about three days later and we were able to go home.
